Nonberk are a Brisbane based alternative rock band formed in March 2019 with three young friends Samuel Monk, Harry Cross and Zaac Thompson who met while doing the bachelor of music at QUT. Within the first two rehearsals the guys had already written 6 songs. The band like to incorporate “unusual” time signatures in their songs such as 7/8, 5/8 and 23/8, as well as heavy distorted bass and guitar, and hard hitting drums. Zaac was the previous bassist, lead vocalist and songwriter of Gold Coast metal band The Aunties from 2016-2019. Sam was the previous drummer and backup vocalist for Curse The Crown from 2017-2018. Harry is the guitarist, lead vocalist and songwriter for A Short Term Effect 2015-Present. They’re definitely guaranteed to put on an energetic head banging performance wherever they play! With catchy choruses and riffs that you'll be humming while you're at work or cleaning your room. Pulling influences from bands like Audioslave The Melvins, Helmet, Soundgarden, Pearl Jam, Deftones and Tool. They have just started to hit the Brisbane music scene and will keep throwing punches until everyone knows their name.
